4.1: Technical Terms For Review

Camera:
- Shots: Close-up = Head shot
Medium shot = Head to waist
Extreme medium shot = Head to Knees
Long shot = Full Body
Extreme long shot = Body and things around you.
- Angles: High/ birds eye view; Low/ Worms eye view
- Movements: Panning: Camera showing the area around you.
Tracking: Camera following a person/object

Lighting:
-Low key lighting
-Natural lighting
-artificial lighting

Editing:
Montage: A series of clips that don't initially make sense but by the end, it will be clear
Continuity: Series of clips in a clear sequence.
(Transitions: how it moves from onelip to the next)

Mise en Scene
All that you can see in the film/video etc. E.G: Props
French word which means 'put in the scene'

Sound

-Diagetic: Natural sound that is actually in the film For Example: if a sound is made and the characters respond to it. Also maybe music playing in a car.
-Non Diagetic: Sound that is added and that only the audience can hear.
